Until ten years ago the only oil based sweetener available was saccharin and it really did have an after taste.  This was not good for makers of natural lip balms and other fat related body products.

We were the first to develop refined stevia suspended in an oil base which was an great solution to the oil based sweetener situation.  Stevia was still going through a lot as far as regulation goes and we were not able to call it a sweetener back then.  We were allowed to call it a "flavor."

Things have changed over a decade and the public very much demanded the wonderful stevia to be sold as a sweetener.  Whether oil based or water based - we love stevia and use it as our sweetening agent.  It is a thousand times sweeter than sugar and does not have all teh pitfalls sugar offers or the problems associated with artificial sweeteners.
